Hela prepares

 THE Hela Kickboxing Association are hoping to select their fighters from an inaugural provincial tournament set for this month.

Coordinator of Hela KBA Maris Terry said the event was in preparation for the postponed Ox & Palm Cup tournament in Port Moresby which was slated for the end of this month.

Terry said that following their performance at the PNG Games in Kokopo last year, the association was looking forward at grooming more of their fighters.

The tournament would be used to select 10 support fighters who would compete in the under-cut voucher in the Ox & Palm Tournament while Terry and Sampson Bip would take part in the eight-men event.

“We believe that we can produce some of the country’s best fighters,” Terry said.
