Hela to host kickboxing tournament

 THE Hela Kickboxing Association (HKA) will host a tournament in September.

The tournament, from September 16-18, will be in Tari and 13 clubs from around Hela are expected to participate in the three-day event.

According to organiser Marris Terry, fundraising for the event has started.

Terry said the Hela Kick boxing Association was an IPA-registered entity that was set up to tap into the province’s potential in kickboxing.

The tournament will serve as a selection trial for Hela’s PNG Games team and the national championships at the end of the year.

The association will have a fundraising dinner in Port Moresby next Saturday.
