Help change country by voting good leaders

Letters

MANY of us are looking forward to this year’s general elections.
Elections are an interesting and significant event in which incumbent MPs may be retained or changed depending on the voters’ choices.
The incumbent MPs will be judged by the people according to their performances during the last term.
Those who are elected will resume duties as mandated leaders of each designated electorate.
It is important to choose leaders who can serve, debate issues and push for laws that can benefit the people.
Below is a list of things voters should do when choosing their leaders:

  • LOOK for candidates who are honest and fair;
  • LOOK for candidates who can debate.
  • LOOK for knowledgeable people who know what to do before going into power;
  • VOTE leaders who are selfless and have the heart of a servant with no hidden motives;
  • DO not vote people who promise you large sums of money or contracts; and,
  • DO not vote for those with unrealistic goals.

As responsible citizens, we can help change can change the course of this country.
