Help, not harass, vendors

MY concern goes to the 100 or so small business people and subsistence farmers near the Rainbow Mobil service station market.
It has been a month since they have been robbed nearly every day by the so-called police dog unit.
These officers would chase the helpless men, women and children with guns and batons.
I once witnessed them chasing women selling vegetables before grabbing Coke, cigarettes, mobile top-up cards and all their money.
Are these officers acting on orders or are they taking advantage of the situation?
If the government wants to get rid of the Rainbow market, then find an alternative for these people.
Whether we like it or not, we all depend on these Sigarap markets to provide goods and services.
