HERITAGE Oil officials recently visited its assets in Papua New Guinea, saying the company’s production is focused on exploration activities in Nigeria, Tanzania and PNG.

The company is engaged in oil, gas exploration and production.

The company has producing assets in Nigeria and Russia and exploration assets in Tanzania, PNG, Malta, Libya and Pakistan.

Public relations agency FTI Consulting Ben Brewerton said the oil company often have staff in country to liaise with partners.

He said this to explain the presence of the company representatives recently.

Heritage has an interest in a number of licences in PNG – PPL 319, PPL 337, PPL 437 and PRL 13.

It farmed in to licence onshore PNG last year and now has four licences.

Recently, Heritage had farmed into PPL 337 and PPL 437 where the work programmes were expected to progress quickly with wells slated for this year.

In 2013, the company completed a seismic survey programme over some of these assets and two exploration wells are scheduled for drilling in this year on PPL 337 and a well on PPL 319, Heritage said.
