HETURA easily scooped the Sangara netball crown over rivals Double Cross 31-19 at the Sangara Primary School Sports oval on Sunday.

The team from top Sangara out classed their opponents in a one-sided affair that did not reach any great heights.

The first quarter was locked at 5-5  but Hetura were ahead 14-9 in the second before vaulting to a 23-16 third quarter lead.

Hetura strong mid-court of Eriro Yasakin, Sivinah Deboa and Bernah Mongagi Deboa proved the difference.

Shooters Francisca Monagi collected 17 points and partner Manly Gaina 14 in a dominant display under the ring.

In the junior division Double Cross were too good for Vendors winning 24- 6.

Oro Country Netball Association president Phyllis Ami is appealing to all selected players in the training squad to prepare for the national championships in September in Port Moresby.

Ami said players from Mumuni and Igora were representing Oro under the banner of OCNA the only affiliated member of PNG Netball Federation.
