HISTORY is repeating itself as far as Sir Michael Somare is concerned.
When he was Pangu Pati leader, his inner circle broke ranks and formed two new political parties.
They were led by Barry Holloway, Karl Stack and John Nilkare who formed the League for National Advancement and Paias Wingti who formed the People’s Democratic Movement.
In the end, Pangu gave the Grand Chief the boot.
It was a bitter experience but he went on to form the National Alliance party.
Now, the Chief is seeing his NA party being torn apart with the other group led by Don Polye.
Being a prime minister is not a birthright but a privilege.
