THE Papua New Guinea Hockey Federation has secured a sponsor for the hockey fives competition being played in Port Moresby.
The competition will now be known as the Big Rooster Hockey Fives, says federation president Kaluwin Potuan, pictured.
The launching of the sponsorship will be made at the Hockey Pavilion in the Sir John Guise Sporting Precinct on Saturday.
“This sponsorship in kind covers 450 shirts for the junior ages between 10 and 15 years,” Potuan said.
“The shirts will be distributed to all our affiliates which are Lae, East New Britain, West New Britain, Manus, and Madang.
“Secondly, the sponsorship covers the branding name Big Rooster in Port Moresby and the shirts worth K9000.”
Potuan said the federation was privileged to have such support for the sport, with junior development a priority .
The fast food company has also supported T20 cricket in NCD.
