A TOTAL of 323 grade 8 students of the Hohola Demonstration Primary School in Port Moresby are among the 133,745 around the country sitting their Certificate of Basic Education examination this week.
Upper Primary School coordinator Michaelyn Sosori said the school had six grade 8 classes with more than 50 students in each class.
“This is the biggest number of grade 8 students the school has ever had. This group is the best the school has ever had. They are well-behaved (and) not involved in any school fight or other social problems,” Sosori said.
“Our whole student body was guided well by our Religious Instruction lessons from Monday to Friday. That is where and how we have managed our students’ behaviour inside and outside of school.”
A total of 3078 primary schools in the country are having the examinations that will end on Thursday.
The 133,745 students are vying to secure a place in one of the 328 high/secondary schools in the country.
