Hold MP accountable for lack of development

Letters

I WRITE in response to a letter by Vincent K on Dec 21: ‘Yopyyopy not honouring his words.
The writer said Wosera-Gawi MP Joseph Yopyyopy had not done anything in the district and the people were constantly complaining of deteriorating road conditions and high cost of transportation to and from Maprik town.
Vincent, I totally agree with you and the stark reality is that, it is not the very bad road condition only, but the whole district is suffering from lack of vital basic tangible development on the ground.
The people have the right to know how their services improvement programme funds for the last eight years were expedited on projects.
After 45 years of independence, Wosera-Gawi does not have a permanent district administrative centre.
Yambi Station is a ghost town with incomplete buildings.
The educated elites and tipmandu from Wosera should speak out and hold the member accountable for the lack of development.
We have faith in our country’s watchdogs to compel the member to account for these public funds.
