Hospital service inefficient

Letters

HAVING the heart to serve is of supreme importance in the public service.
The services rendered by the male and female nurses in Lae’s Angau Memorial General Hospital are way too far ineffective.
The most effective services are not driven by pay rise nor working conditions but a willingness to compete with time to live your desired dreams and serve many lives as you can to fulfil you purpose.
I recently went to the hospital’s emergency wing with my family for a scan.
It took us 2 days to be served.
I understand that services are provided through procedures and delays are expected. But people lose their loved ones through delayed services.
We should not be driven by the outside influences to be nurses and doctors.
An inward passion to serve lives is what a health worker should aspire to achieve.
Not for the money and the position.
The value of life created by God is priceless.
A physician connects his heart and mind to God and the healing power flows down to the sick.
The physician serves as a human instrument to aid the healing power to the sick. No one can create new lives or repair the body but God does.
If we connect our mind and heart to the heavenly body, we connect blessing to earth.
The hunger for gain is forbidden. Hunger to serve should be cherished.

  • It is the same across PNG, you come to Goroka hospital and for heaven’s sake you will argue with nurses in the hospital. I guess the nurses with such arrogant attitude did not deserve working with patience. Send them to betel nut business to do their beloved arguing.
