HPS observes Environment Day

HIGH Performance Sport PNG commemorated the World Environment Day with games of touch yesterday.
Participants from the University of PNG and Institute of Business Studies enjoyed a fun-filled game coordinated by the HPS PNG team.
HPS PNG dual career officer Edmond Bannick said, they decided to add some sporting excitement for the participants who were involved with planting mangroves to commemorate the World Environment Day.
“We are all about sport and since we were heavily involved in the day we decided to have sports on the menu,” Bannick said.
“We wanted to have other games as well but then looking at the number we had, we just decided to have games of touch football for the participants to sweat it out and call it a day,” he said.
UPNG student participant Aileen Tape described the sport exercise as a “cool idea” to sum up a day of planting mangroves at Pari village.
