THE police top hierarchy is now complete with the commissioning of two deputy police commissioners, says Police Commissioner Gari Baki.

In a ceremony at the police headquarters at Konedobu in Port Moresby yesterday, Baki commissioned Raphael Huafolo as Deputy Commissioner Administration and Jim Andrews as Deputy Commissioner Operations.

The appointments were confirmed by Cabinet last Thursday.

“Having the right team in place is critical to any organisation’s success for advancement,” Baki said at the commissioning.

“This is true not only in the police force top management but in every division, directorate and unit.

“When you have a good team, it makes it easier for us to achieve the overall goals and has a lot of reflection on the organisation.”

Baki said the two deputy commissioners had a lot of experience and had proven their worth in other positions they held.

He said the top management would move as a team and be firm and fair in every decision made.

Their appointments had been delayed by court cases which were now resolved.
