HUMAN resource practitioners have been reminded of employees’ needs during a conference in Port Moresby.
The three-day conference began on Tuesday and was attended by about 300 people from the private and public sectors.
Human resources management students from various institutions also attended.
Themed “There is no success without successful people”, participants were told that creators of organisations were people whose needs should be taken care of.
PNG Human Resource Institute president Jerry Wemin said in most organisations today, people were the most valuable resources.
“If the people factor is not factored in, the firm is at greater risk of losing critical momentum.”
He said conference was focused on developing HR practitioners to be effective and skillful in their organisations.
