Hundreds in NGI get eyes treated

THREE men were arrested in West New Britain province for being in possession of drugs last Thursday.
Michael Miauel, 54, from Sinasina in Chimbu, Rosman Steven, 22, and Yamban Richard, 30, both from East Sepik, were arrested and charged with being in possession of drugs.
They were apprehended by police in Kimbe town who suspected they were in possession of marijuana.
In another case, a teenager and a woman were arrested and charged with inciting a fight in Kimbe town.
Arnold David, 19 and Joyce Hani, 30, both from East Sepik, were arrested last Wednesday night and have been detained to await their court appearance.
The provincial police commander’s office said everything had been quiet since polling and police were expecting people in the province to cooperate with police to ensure a peaceful environment this week.
