Not committed
MICHAEL Marum and his coaching staff are all fit and well versed in their jobs.
They have proven to be the right and capable people and the last four years of high-level performance by the Hunters in the Queensland Intrust Super Cup (ISC) is proof of their ability and skills to compete at a high level.
The players were intelligent.
They were able to develop something out of nothing when all avenues were closed.
Our current Hunters are not fully committed, that includes the senior players as well.
That is evident by the regular disciplinary cases of players every weekend.
My view is that, most of our current players are new to the Hunters environment.
I also think the players (the new ones mostly) maybe getting distracted by the fans on the sideline, especially on away games.
I see no problem with Marum and his staff.
Marum has developed in-depth skills in many areas of the game over the years.
Just see how he was able to recognise a player with enormous ability and get him into the Hunters programme and they went on to perform well and some are now playing in other ISC clubs and in England.
See him winning awards, beating his counterparts in the ISC, winning the premiership in just four years while some of the long-time clubs have yet to get to that point.
Marum is a professional — let’s limit our criticisms of our super coach and focus on how best we can help develop our players.
We are talented in rugby league, we can perform well at all levels of the game.
Let every player settle down and focus on how he is going to perform.
Go the Hunters.
