HUNTERS fans will be able to see their side play their first home game in the Intrust Super Cup at Kalabond Oval in Kokopo on Saturday.

National carrier Air Niugini on Monday released packages for the next three home games.

The games are against reigning champions Mackay Cutters on Saturday, Central Queensland Capras on March 15 and last year’s minor premiers the Northern Pride on March 22.

The packages feature flights from Kavieng, Hoskins, Buka and Port Moresby and can be booked through the Air Niugini tours office on 180 2121 or email: [email protected]

All packages include flights, accommodation, match and airport transfers plus game tickets.

SP PNG Hunters chief executive officer Brad Tassell said the packages give fans an opportunity to support their team at home.

“We have had a lot of inquiries about packages to home games this year and have worked with Air Niugini to give fans the opportunity to attend matches in Kokopo,” Tassell said.

“We hope that supporters across the country take up the offer, book their spot and support the team as they play against the Cutters, Capras and Pride over the next three weekends. This weekend will be a part of history and the team is really looking forward to playing in front of our home crowd.”

Tickets for Saturday’s game went on sale at Agmark Hardware in Kokopo yesterday with a sell out crowd expected.

Season tickets sales will close on Friday.

Individual tickets went on sale on Monday and will be available until game day depending on availability for the 10,000 capacity stadium.
