Hunters’ seven to bolster Dabaris’ Digicel Cup ambitions

THE Central Dabaris have named seven Papua New Guinea Hunters members in their final squad to be announced at the end of this month.
Dabaris executive officer Hubert Warupi confirmed that when contacted by The National yesterday.
Hunters training squad members Bland Abavu, Gairo Kapana, Patrick Morea, Kaupa Rex, Sanny Wabo and Jack Oii have been drafted into the side.
“These players will play for the Dabaris when they are available and when they are released by the Hunters management,” he said.
Also included from the Port Moresby Rugby League (PRL) are former Hunters players Adam Korave (Dobo) and Karo Kauna Jr (Hawks), Junior Belo, Stanley Chiko Mairi, Clyde Name Osei, Michael Yanis Makara Hura and Mark Piti. “But our focus is mainly on the cream of the rural-based players we have who are now committing their time and effort in training.”
Warupi said a 40 PRL players had been be added to the current training group of 60, bringing the squad to 100.
