Hunters still out of action

THE SP Hunters will be out of action for at least another week following Queensland Rugby League’s cancellation of this weekend’s Intrust Super Cup fixtures.
As outlined last week by the league, the staging of the matches was dependent on state-wide Coronavirus restrictions being lifted by Monday to allow time to resume training, coordinate travel and other logistics.
Unfortunately, with no further update on community sports forthcoming, the league informed all clubs on Monday afternoon that round 18 had been cancelled.
“All is not lost though for participants and fans of the two statewide competitions, with the league hopeful it will soon be able to recommence fixtures as part of its commitment to extend the season into October,” league media manager Michael Hillier said. – QRL
