THE International Cricket Council (ICC) will partner with the Papua New Guinea High Performance Sport to deliver acareer education (ACE) programme for PNG players.
ICC East Asia-Pacific development manager Kieran McMillian is working with career education coordinator Richard Ora, and HPS director Aaron Alsop to host an ACE workshop with PNG athletes, including some ICC cricket-specific content for Cricket PNG.
The world cricket body approached the centre to partner with them to support and deliver the education programmes as part of the requirements of their regional cricket development schedule.
Under the programme, visiting guest speakers will present workshops to PNG athletes on topics such as career, education, personal development and life skills.
Alsop was grateful for the offer of capacity building and professional development training for athletes.
“These programmes will provide players with the support they need to develop a broader range of skills,” McMillan said.
