ICRC donates medical supplies

THE International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) has donated medical supplies to two aid posts – Sua and Yobai – in the Salt-Nomane electorate, Chimbu.
The communities in the Dawa area have been affected by tribal fights and needed to access health care.
The ICRCs aim is to monitor tribal conflicts and provide support in terms of basic health care and other needs to help the people and places affected by tribal fights.
The ICRC team, led by highlands region field officer Molyne Vaiang, health delegate Thomas Thorhauge and field delegate Nader Wahba, went to Sua and Yobai to provided medical supplies to the two aid posts as part of their programme.
Thorhauge said in Mt Hagen they provide basic health services to people who were affected by tribal fights.
