THE inaugural PNG information communication technology (ICT) and innovation fair at the Hideaway Hotel in Port Moresby last Friday and Saturday attracted 23 organisations from within and outside of the country.
PNGTIME Ltd hosted the two-day event which attracted participation from Telikom PNG, Westpac bank, Datec
and the Queensland-based Enabling Queensland Australia.
PNGTIME representative Charlie Gilichibi said the fair would provide information and communication technology businesses the opportunity to enhance and showcase their skills and activities.
“PNGTIME wanted to bring together organisations to promote themselves and their products.
“By doing so, we will help them grow and develop their technology,” Gilichibi said.
Jonathan Bundu, a representative from Kina Securities Ltd, said the ICT and innovation fair was an eye-opener for everyone involved in the industry.
“It helps broaden our knowledge about the latest in technology and to get a fair idea of what is happening around the world,” Bundu said.
