THE Ilimo Dairy farm outside Port Moresby has seen growth despite the Covid-19 pandemic, according to farm operator Innovative Agro Industries PNG (IAI).
IAI chairman and director Ilan Weiss said the growth was driven by extending the company’s product range and creation of new markets during the year.
He said the extension products included Joi Juice, Joi Pop, skimmed milk and others.
“As a result of these new products hitting the shelves in 2020, we were able to increase sales, notwithstanding the general economic conditions impacted by the pandemic,” he said.
“On top of the new products, we have also increased the number of our ice cream shops, with three outlets operational in 2020, including Vision City, Port Moresby, our outlet at the Lae Papindo centre and the soon to be opened Ice Cream kiosk at RH Gordon in Port Moresby.
“We are eyeing further shops in Mt Hagen, Wewak, Kokopo and Madang, in the near future.”
