Improve Kumuls’ offence

I WAS impressed by the Kumuls’ defence in their 9-8 defeat to France in their first World Cup match.

However, the attack needs some attention.

We had so much possession in the opposition’s half but could not turn those opportunities into goals.

We need some set plays to create overlap to score.

Unfortunately, going one man upfront did not bring in results.

Finally, I am disappointed that David Mead, who did not kick goals in the NRL competition, was given the goal kicking duties.

He missed three out of three and the last one cost us the game, which was right in front of the up rights.

He is also a winger and not a fullback.

Josiah Abavu is a full back.

Roger Laka is an accomplished goal kicker and should have been on the interchange bench or in the first13.
