IMPROVING agriculture in PNG will benefit a lot of people in PNG because more than 20 per cent are directly involved, says Australian Consul General Paul Murphy.
Speaking during the National Agricultural Research Institute’s 11th Agriculture Innovation show yesterday, Murphy said innovation is one way to improve agriculture.
“Anything that can be done to improve agriculture in PNG will have a huge impact on people’s livelihood and development in the country,” he said.
“So innovation is important, how do we improve productivity, how do we improve people’s resilience from their efforts in agriculture?”
