COMPETITION leaders POMSOE will face University in the main game of the Super League soccer challenge at Bisini Telikom Park on Sunday.
The return of Rodney Mobiha has sparked some life into the POMSOE side which beat Defence 3-0 last week.
They will be out to maintain their record against University, who are the sleeping giants in the competition. They will be making their presence felt.
The presence of Desmond Sow, Abraham Enoch, Gary Moka and Joshua Niebo for Cosmos should give Spartans a good run for their money.
Spartans are a team filled with players from the defunct Rapatona FC. Striker Ravu Habuka will be leading the onslaught while Richard Pocho will man the backline.
Mungkas, despite having a class outfit are struggling to find their form with David Taro, Andrew Marampau Jr and Adrian Komu unable to strike a combination.
But of late the switch of Marampau from front to backline has paid dividends.
If that is maintained Mungkas, should be looking for another upset. The return of Defence veteran Selan Elizah, who is leading a number of young talents, is expected to lift their performance against Mungkas after  a below par performance early in the season.
Elizah has been working with his boys throughout the week and should load more ammo to shoot down Mungkas.
The early game will  see the clash of Momase and Yamaros. After beating Spartans last Sunday, Momase are upbeat for another upset against Yamaros in the battle of the Gerehu neighbours.
If Momase are desperate for a win, they must guard Max Sengum who keeps heading turning in the centre to ensure strikers Charston Aopi and Patrick Aisa find the target.
Richard Matanga with his sometimes deceiving footwork is also capable of finding lapses in the opponents’ defence. They will be helped by lanky Junior Sasu.
On Saturday, PS Rutz should beat YMC. However, Paul Komboi, Ken Gule and Frank Tulem should be mindful that YMC are capable of doing the impossible.
The Rigo boys have done it and if they are underestimated, PS Rutz are up for trouble.
In the women’s match, competition leader Mungkas will face Guria, Lamana meet Spartans, University clash with POMSOE and PS Ruts take on YMC.
The women points ladder: Mungkas 15, Yamaros 15, Guria 15, University 9, Spartans 6, PS Rutz 6, POMSOE 6, Lamana 3 and PS Rutz 0.
