RABAUL MP Dr Allan Marat has called on institutions in East New Britain to strengthen godly principles in their curriculums.

“It is through our godly principles that our values are shaped, and our choices are directed,” he said.

He said education policies within the province should begin by ensuring that teachers effectively influence children to live godly lives.

Marat said it should ensure that teachers influence the family environment. “It is important that the foundation of quality education is established at an early age,” he said.

Marat said there was need for improvement in early childhood programmes in certain schools in ENB.

He said corruption was a major hindrance to effective enforcement of good public policies promoting quality education.

Marat said as a result, incidents of noncompliance with public administration guidelines have increased.
