Income tax too high

WHY is the tax so high?
For some, it is almost the same as the over time (OT) work we do.
You work for extra hours to add to your take home pay packet but when you get the pay slip, you are speechless.
An example, you are paid K700 on your fortnight (inclusive of normal pay and OT).
You will find about K200-plus goes to tax and you’re left with whatever after all the other deductions are taken out, maybe K200-plus.
Can there be a consistent tax rate for all the hard working people of this blessed nation which has a lot of natural resources.
And please don’t tax the over time.
Let the hard working people reap what they sow over their hard work.
