TWO Indonesians have been fined K2,000 each in default three months jail by the Vanimo District Court for illegally entering PNG last week.
The court on Monday also ordered the duo’s motorcycle to be seized by the State.
Provincial police commander Chief Insp Sakawar Kasieng said the two men crossed the PNG-Indonesian border last Thursday afternoon on their motorcycle and were riding past Wutung village when they were caught.
They were charged with illegal entry when police discovered during interrogation that they did not have valid travel documents.
In another case, Vanimo police arrested and charged nine Chinese nationals with working without valid work permits while being contracted by PNG Power in Kainantu, Eastern Highlands province.
The Chinese were returning from a brief visit to Jayapura when police nabbed them last week.
