Inmate says she’s changed, ready to start fresh

CHANGE will happen when people put their mind and heart to it despite what crime they have committed, an inmate says.
Lucy Jacob, from Goilala in Central, was among 43 other inmates who received toiletries and pizza lunch from Sanctuary Hotel staff yesterday.
She said it would be six years for her in the Bomana female wing.
Jacob will be freed sometimes this year.
“I’m happy and ready to be free to start a new life by putting God and prayer first,” she said.
She said she “was not a good person” before she entered prison, but she changed her life through the prison fellowship, prayers and Bible studies that she was committed to.
“It is all about setting your mind, heart, and if you really want to change you will,” Jacob said.
“I’m happy and ready to start a new life.”
Jacob said Bomana changed her and she was grateful for the people who encouraged her and cared for her when she was in prison.
