Inmates at Bomana Jail are raising funds for their rehabilitation school by cooking and selling food that they grow in their gardens.
The food was sold to workers at the Correctional Services headquarters, Department of Works and The National newspaper last Friday.
Inmates Helen Kura, Livos Kabu and Osborne Tebe, accompanied by jail officer Lydia Wai were at The National office .
They sold lunch boxes of chicken, greens, bananas and taro for K10 each. Wai said it was the first time for inmates to come out like this.
