Inspect foreign firms in country

Letters

FOREIGN-OWNED businesses should comply with the requirements and conditions set under their entry permits.
Not adhering to instructions is a defeat to the Papua New Guinean grade 10 and 12 school leavers who are looking for jobs such as shop assistants, cashiers, security guards and cleaners.
Engagement of foreigners should be specifically on specialist skilled jobs and managerial positions at the retail, supermarkets and department stores and not on the jobs that are reserved for nationals.
The Government authorities should conduct inspections on all foreign-owned businesses nationwide and those in the wrong should be punished.
We need more Papua New Guineans to come forward and report foreigners who are operating illegally in the country.
The Government should be serious in addressing such issues.
