AN education institute that has provided quality and affordable education to Papua New Guineans since its inception in 1999 celebrated its 15th anniversary last weekend in Port Moresby.
The International Training Institute hosted a lunch and awards presentation to thank its staff for providing quality education to citizens who missed out on the formal education system.
Managing director Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval said the institute was a recognised higher education provider.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology has acknowledged its status.
Sentheyval said their internal processes, academic programmes and entry level criteria had been changed to satisfy the requirements of a provisional higher education provider.
Sentheyval said it aimed to be a leader in providing quality education in the Pacific. He said they planned to increase the number of campuses and distance centres in Papua New Guinea, expand course offerings, lift research profile.
