STAFFS at the Jubilee Institute of Higher Learning have been pressed to teach quality education and students to make quality learning with resources they have by the director Frank Maru.

Maru, during the dedication service of the institution last Thursday, reminded everyone about the year theme “quality education equals industrial bedrock”.

“We believe that quality education is the basis to drive industries in Papua New Guinea,” he said.

“A strong industry reflects the quality of tertiary education.”

Maru also encouraged students to have self-learning via internet support device and those with educational applications to achieve quality learning.

“Quality education is something that all institution also see and we would like to contribute in that space and time,” Maru told The National.

He said tertiary education is the bridge to economic growth and stressed that success of informal and formal sectors will only have a strong foundation if there was quality education.

“Quality education is the foundation in which Papua New Guinea sits,” Maru said.

He said in order to have quality education there must be discipline.

“Discipline equals quality education but quality gives birth to trust and trust gives birth to incredibility,” he said.

Maru says registration is still open for students.
