THE recently established Asia Pacific Institute of Applied Social Economic and Technological Studies (APIESETS) is ready to kick off its second academic year.
Programme manager Dore Auakai said the institution, located at Maple Street, Hohola in Port Moresby, was established in 2014.
It held its first graduation last December which saw 47 students attain Certificates and Diplomas in various traits.
With the motto ‘No dreams and aspirations will be shattered’ the institution is targeting any student who had missed out on being
selected to universities and
other tertiary institutions in the country.
“We are a privately-owned institution striving to bridge the gap between government, education and the people,” Auakai said.
He said Apiasets was an alternate institution where students who aspired to become someone in life but did not find spaces in other institutions could apply to and pursue their dreams.
He said the institution would offer more than 50 certificate and degree courses and programmes of the three areas of social, economic and technical this year.
He said the duration of the courses varied from three-day certificate courses to 6 to 12 months courses.
He said they offered courses from traits such as Accounting, Business Management, ICT, Nursing, Engineering, Aviation, and others to name a few.
Students who wished to enrol could enquire at their office.
