THE National Information and Communication Technology Authority has granted a class operator internet license for the Institute of Business Studies in Port Moresby.
The presentation of the licence was held at the IBS 6-Mile campus.
The license will allow IBS to connect to the internet rather than through other internet service providers such as Daltron, Datec and Digicel.
IBS director Sadiq Ali said students could now access the internet directly for their studies. “We are living in a technological world and with access to the internet, students can obtain valuable information to enhance their skills,” Ali said.
He said many books in the libraries students used were outdated and the internet should give them up-to-date information.
NICTA director for licensing and enforcement Une O’Ome said IBS had met all the requirements to get a class operator licence.
