Internet programme launched

 NCD Governor Powes Parkop and Digicel PNG have launched the “Internet for Schools” programme at Kilakila Secondary School in Port Moresby yesterday.

The K3.7m programme, to be rolled in all secondary schools, was initiated by Parkop in partnership with Digicel PNG to boost students’ learning ability in the city.

It would enable students having access to free internet services to research and do their homework, assignments and projects by having access to more than 30 million resource materials online on educational subjects. 

A total of 10,500 tablets were purchased with the first 200 delivered to Kilakila students during the launch. The rest would be distributed to all the secondary schools in NCD. 

Parkop told the students to use the opportunity for the right purpose.
