DAVID Ulgu Gai, who contested the Wosera-Gawi open seat in East Sepik, wants to see Tok Pisin introduced in all education institutions.
He congratulated the election winners and appealed to them to serve the people rather than themselves.
He says Tok Pisin is the PNG’s second language, which is spoken and understood by the people.
Gai believes students will do better in school if Tok Pisin is used in schools.
Gai is working on “Operation Rausim English” to make people aware about the importance of introducing the language and how it can help improve learning in all schools.
“I am appealing to the national government through the Department of Education to introduce pidgin vernacular,” he says.
