Invest in bid for 18th team in NRL

Letters

THE Government should invest in bid for the 18th National Rugby League team.
It can start by allocating K1 billion for the sole purpose of securing Papua New Guinea’s bid in the Australian rugby league competition.
This money should be deposited into an interest bearing deposit account with a PNG commercial bank by November or December.
The potential revenues to PNG from TV rights, sponsorships and other revenues are estimated to be K5 million to K10 million per year.
Young boys will have a big future from the pathways that this new team will create and many will be earning K1 million per year.
