Investigate corruption

Letters

MANY former and current politicians and department heads who allegedly squandered public funds for still walking around freely.
They are somehow not picked up by radar. It is encouraging to note the Fraud Squad moving in to question a former senior Works employee over alleged misuse of funds.
There is another civil servant who allegedly squandered funds with another manager to purchase a house in Cairns in 2012.
Corruption is corruption, whether big or small. It has to be fought tooth-and-nail until all culprits are behind bars.
My heart breaks to see our people suffer below the poverty level to make ends meet every day while some take advantage of the system to squander and enrich themselves.
Thumbs up for the Fraud Squad for doing your mandated duty without fear of favour.
Kudos also to no-nonsense Deputy Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika for enforcing justice on fraud-related crimes.
