Investigate police promotion process

SEEMS some police officers may have bribed their way into getting promoted.
The recent list of promotions that came out for various ranks in the Papua New Guinea Royal Constabulary did not fit the bill.
Meaning, there are certain criteria’s that must be met before anyone can be elevated to the next rank.
This habit has been there for a long time that needs to be addressed.
The promotional board will very much depend on the recommendations done by provincial panels.
Most of the provincial police commanders are confused as certain people that don’t deserve to be promoted are getting promoted.
Some are alleged to have criminal and discipline charges against their names.
The Police Commissioner needs to do something about this immediately, for a better policing in the country.
