Investigate public officers for fraud

Letters

PREVIOUSLY primary and high school students were issued text books by their respective schools.
This has not been the case in the last couple of years as students had to pay for their own text books at the book shops.
Fraud related offences committed by public office holders in the country has hindered service and development and is the cause of our peoples suffering.
The current inquiry by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) into the Health Department over drug procurement processes revealed that Morobe had encountered medicine shortages (The National, Nov 22).
It is important to thoroughly investigate public office holders who have committed fraud related offences and come up with a strong case against them.
Often public office holders, arrested and charged for fraud related offences by police, have evaded justice in the courts due to lack of substantive evidences to prosecute them.
