INVESTMENT Promotion Authority director for investor services and promotion Clarence Hoot, pictured, has graduated with a Masters of Business Administration specialising in international business.

Authority managing director Ivan Pomaleu commended Hoot’s achievement.

Hoot is a key person in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) as he sits as co-convener in the Investment Experts Group.

Pomaleu said the qualifications and skills acquired were relevant to Hoot’s line of duty given his influence in trade issues in the region.

He said Hoot had been making his presence felt since 2013 in APEC “where he chairs the sub-group IEG, a very important technical committee under the Committee for Trade and Investment”.

“It is a testimony of the training policy of the IPA and how this policy has been building the capacity of its officers,” he said.

Hoot graduated with the MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

The IPA said with this achievement, the Government agency could now cross off one of its aims to have all the divisional directors scaled up to Masters level.
