Sword Ministry, a new inter-denominational youth group in Karem village in Madang, has been presented with a certificate of recognition by the Investment
Promotion Authority (IPA) yesterday.
The certificate shows that the ministry is incorporated, enabling it to access funding by lending institutions as well as future trainings in the areas of commerce, agriculture and fisheries.
One of the elders of the community, Moses Bais, congratulated the ministry in bringing such a development to the village.
“This level has never been achieved by some of the well known businesses that we know.
“I see that this certificate will help the ministry in rebuilding the youths of the community both spiritually and physically.
“This leads to a more holistic approach to life, contributes towards the elimination of poverty as well as helping youths find ways to sustain themselves in their own communities.”
Bais said, most times, things like these were given special treatment and often packed away and forgotten.
The presenter of the certificate, Pr Jesse, a woman who has supported the group from its infancy, praised the group for what they had accomplished.
