Ipatas backs debate competion

 ENGA Governor Peter Ipatas has given K35,000 to the Institute of Business Studies for the school debate competition in the province.

Ipatas, who had been supporting the annual school debate for the past three years, said his contribution would ensure that schools in Enga took part.

He said because Enga was an isolated province, it was also costly for the students to be part of the competition.

Ipatas said the competition would help students broaden their knowledge and perfect their use of the language. 

“Through the years we realised that students who took part in the competition gained a lot,” ” Ipatas said. 

“It also gives them the opportunity to experience life outside of Enga.”
