COCA-Cola Ipatas Cup (CCIC) has appointed Molly Perry-Geno as the general secretary of the competition.
It is not a new job for Perry-Geno, who had been administering sports when she was the PNG University Sports Association president and the only member of Oceania University Sports Association.
Her position was among new appointments made by CCIC executives on the regional committee to oversee the running of the competition this season.
The CCIC executive officer Timothy Lepa said Perry Geno was appointed on merit and would be in charge of the administration of the CCIC competition this year.
He also named the regional coordinators of the qualifying rounds. The coordinators for Lae will be Samson Timson assisted by Mona Tonsy Clyde.
Peter Walop will be in charge in Goroka, Eastern Highlands with the help of Kevin Inginafa.
Esau Siune and his assistant John Simbu will monitor events in Chimbu while James Meninga and Mal Taime will run the affairs in Mt Hagen and Jiwaka.
Peter Algen will be the coordinator in Mendi, Southern Highlands, with a helping hand from David Loko and Sova Milfred.
Joseph will be coordinator of the Wabag leg of the qualifiers. He will be assisted by Nathan Anjo.
The coordinators for the New Guinea Islands and Southern regions will be appointed at a later date.
The coordinators chairman is Walis Pingin and his deputy and technical director is John Passigan.
Lepa said out of the 216 sides that had shown interest only 64 teams had been confirmed for the regional playoffs.
