The National, Friday 21st September 2012

I AM a public servant and have no political interests.
I wish to share my views as I benefited from Peter Ipatas’ free education policy.
I would not be where I am now if not for him.
I am sure the same also applies to many Engans who have been fortunate to find a job.
Secondly, where credit is due, it must be given unselfishly.
In my opinion, I would like to thank the national government and the awards committee for recognising Ipatas’ contributions and awarding him the Order of the Logohu.
It is the country’s highest award.
If I am not wrong, he will be the first Engan leader to be awarded this honour.
I also congratulate De-puty Prime Minister Leo Dion who also received the same award.
Having entered parliament together, they now have something in common.
