Ipatas opens restroom facility

THE general public travelling to Enga now have a new public toilet facility to use at the border of Western Highlands, thanks to the Enga government.
The facility built at a cost of K160,000 was opened on Tuesday.
Enga provincial works and technical service director Charles Bannah said the facility was built by Crested Builders and Contractors Limited.
He said Enga had a similar facility in Wabag town and one at the border of Kandep and Laiagam and one at Surunki.
Bannah said the modern toilet facilities was for public use.
“Today we are happy to receive the keys of this facility and is open to the public.”
Bannah said the facility would be guarded and have lighting.
Sir Peter described it as a need for the travelling public.
He said this would also give people access a proper facility and adapt to a modern standard.
“Public toilets are people’s daily need,” Sir Peter said.
He said he would also build one public toilet facility at the Hela and Southern Highlands borders.
