Isapea selectors to name 25-man squad next week

 THE Gulf Isapea selectors will name a 25-man squad for the 2016 Papua New Guinea National Rugby League Digicel Cup next week.

Independent selectors from Port Moresby and Kerema were given the tasks by the Isapea board to select the final squad.

Isapea board chairman Jacob Ivaroa told officials and players that the squad would need to have  10 players each from Port Moresby and Kerema.

Ivaroa said he would use his discretion as chairman to pick an additional five players to beef up the 2016 premiership campaign.

He said selections were based on their performance, discipline, commitment and understanding of the game.

The chairman said all the players would undergo medical examination and fitness testing.

He reminded selctors to pick the most committed players.
