‘PEIA PEIA’ … the traditional Kerema war-cry will add feeling to the PRK Gulf Isapea’s chances of causing a major upset against champions Agmark Gurias in the Digicel Cup at the Lloyd Robson Oval on Sunday.

Back-to-back victories over the winless Hela Wigmen and TNA Lions were of no surprise but a third against the Gurias is a tough ask.

The ‘peia peia’ will come from the committed Isapea fans on the main grandstand as they  will need all the help they can to handle the tempo of the Gurias game.

Even bringing a live crocodile to the game will be a source of inspiration for the Gulf franchise.

For Isapea coach Nigel Hukula this will be his first real test against a quality outfit. If forwards Dickson Wallen, Samuel Hamari, Stanley Korowa, Siegfried Gande, and Luke Andrew can hold up their end, they will make a game of it.

Isapea’s pacey backs of Pipi Kilori, Barry Pakea, Jason Koivi, Terry Kaupa, Johnny Horope and playmaker Junior Belo have a challenge on their hands.

Gurias coach Michael Marum yesterday said they may have one or two changes to their line-up but was unable to confirm who was flying in to Port Moresby.

Consistent Gurias forwards in Mark Mexico, Joe Bruno, Obert Hondole, Danny Patrick and Nelson Daplen will most likely lead from the front, while their backs will be directed by Dion Aiye.
